If Mad Men…

says “The best America has to offer” as our suit falls from a Manhattan skyscraper, what do the 70s say about the American dream, denied? What is the defining sentiment for the era that changes, so drastically, so dramatically? Starts holding on to the naivete, then continues to believe, before the wind gets knocked from the sails — and then what holds the dream afloat? From generation to generation?
What is the message for now to make it relevant, which I know it is, but people are so quick to shove aside that which came before.
